Booking your freight consignment can be as easy as downloading
our easy-to-use form. But if you need help we have a range of tools
to get you started and helpful staff who are ready to take your
enquiry.

You'll need to tell us:
- Freight origin and destination
- Freight sender and receiver
- Who is paying for the transport
- When you would like your freight transported
- Number of containers and/or wagons required
- Size and type of containers and/or wagons required
- Description of the freight (commodity)
- Estimated nett weight
You'll also need to tell us if:
- You want KiwiRail to arrange road pick-up and/or delivery
- You need a KiwiRail container and/or wagon
- Your container is refrigerated (include set temperature)
- You need a KiwiRail generator to power the container during transport
- Your container/wagon contains dangerous goods (include the Class and UN number/s)
Once we have your booking form our Service Centre will email or
fax a booking confirmation back so you can check that all details
are correct. You should add the booking number the freight manifest
when your goods are ready to travel.
