KiwiRail Freight Consignment Note
To ensure that we have the right information, please use our Consignment Note. This makes sure we know vital information such as:

• Your KiwiRail Booking Number
• Who is paying for the freight
• Where your freight is going
• The container and/or wagon ID
• The net weight of each container/wagon

For refrigerated freight we'll need to know:

• The set temperature of the container/wagon
• The date and time that the freight was removed from power
• The amount of time allowed off power

For freight that is headed overseas we'll need to know:

• The shippers reference number
• Ship name
• The shipping operator
• What overseas port your freight is headed for
• The voyage number

Hazardous Goods Declaration
If your freight can be considered to contain hazardous or dangerous goods, you will need to give us the following information using our Hazardous Goods Declaration:

• Hazardous Class/es
• UN Number/s
